Cole Barras is a lifelong South Bay/Manhattan Beach resident. He enjoyed all the things that living in Manhattan Beach brings. Riding skateboards, El Sombrero, Manhattan Pizzeria, Noah’s Bagels, Jamba Juice and Jr. Lifeguards. He graduated from MBMS and then on to Mira Costa where he spent three years on the surf team and graduated in 2010. Cole’s dream was to go to college in Hawaii and in 2011 he was accepted to University of Hawaii, Maui College. Then, in the early hours of Oct. 28, 2011, his life was shattered! While visiting Oahu, Cole was involved in a horrible car accident where he sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury that left him in a coma. Cole has been in rehab for four months and works very hard in his daily therapy. He has just started to talk and has made it very clear that he wants to come home to Manhattan Beach!! His recovery from a Traumatic Brain Injury is long and uncertain and this continues to be the longest and most difficult “paddle” of Cole’s life. Please consider joining us for:
